Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and CitCircle ("CitCircle", "we", "us") and govern your use of the CitCircle launch list, website and — once available — the CitCircle mobile application and any related services (together, the "Services").

By joining the launch list, creating an account or using the Services in any other way, you confirm that you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

CitCircle is a service that helps people meet new friends and form small friend groups — in their city, or at their next travel destination — based on shared interests, similar availability and compatible personalities. Today, CitCircle is in a pre-launch phase: you can join our launch list to be notified when the app becomes available in the App Store and Google Play. The full app experience is described inside the app once it is released.

You must be at least 18 years old to use CitCircle. By joining the launch list or using the app you confirm that you meet this age requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

When you join the launch list, you consent to receive an email — and, if you opt in, a WhatsApp message — from CitCircle with the App download link and launch update once the app is live. You can withdraw your consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us at citcircle@outlook.com.

Once CitCircle is available, you will need an account to use the app. You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account and for keeping your login credentials safe. Notify us immediately at citcircle@outlook.com if you suspect any unauthorised use.

CitCircle only works if it feels safe. You agree not to:

• harass, threaten, intimidate or discriminate against others;
• post sexual, violent, hateful or otherwise unlawful content;
• use CitCircle as a dating or hook-up app;
• impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity;
• use the Services for commercial solicitation, recruiting or spam;
• attempt to access accounts, data or systems that are not yours;
• circumvent any safety, moderation or security feature.

We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules.

You keep ownership of the content you submit (photos, messages, profile information, group proposals). You grant CitCircle a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce and display that content strictly as needed to operate, secure and improve the Services. You confirm that you have the rights necessary to grant this licence.

We work hard to keep CitCircle running, but the Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. During the pre-launch phase, features and timing may change, and we cannot guarantee a specific launch date. We may modify, suspend or discontinue features at any time.

To the extent permitted by law, CitCircle is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services, including any interactions with other users. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited (for example for gross negligence or wilful misconduct).

You may leave the launch list at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails, and — once the app is available — delete your account from within the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we are required to do so by law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes will be brought before the competent courts of Amsterdam, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer rights you may have in your country of residence.
